King Ranch Heirloom Scarf

Category: ACCESSORIES
This limited-edition scarf captures the story of King Ranch in a single, richly detailed composition. Woven in pure silk, each element reflects a chapter of the land, its people, and the legacy that shaped it. At the center of the design are two defining figures in Ranch history: Monkey, the foundation sire of the Santa Gertrudis cattle breed (1920–1932), and Old Sorrel, the legendary foundation Quarter Horse (1915–1945). Around them, scenes unfold of early cattle drives and Kineños on horseback before the Main House. Oak mottes, windmills, and coastal grasses speak to the terrain, while native bobwhite quail, nilgai, whitetail, peacocks, and diamondback rattlesnakes roam through the composition. Prickly pear cactus and floral motifs drawn from traditional saddle tooling add texture, alongside the Ranch’s historic brands: HK, RK, and the Running W. The border draws inspiration from the iconic runner rug in the Main House. Captain Richard King’s signature adds a final touch that nods to the origin of it all. Developed over hundreds of hours in collaboration with artists and historians, this scarf is more than an accessory, it’s a wearable archive of King Ranch.
